Capital calls and distributions
Capital calls and distributions, from notice to reconciliation
Build a call or a distribution, preview every investor's line, approve it with a second person, and let the system issue notices, collect by ACH and reconcile against the bank.
Capital calls
A call is built from a basis such as pro rata unfunded commitment, previewed per investor with before and after balances, approved, issued and collected. Each notice is a PDF with the amount, the due date, verified wire instructions and a link to pay by ACH.
- Standard, equalization, recall and fee-only calls
- Reminders before and after the due date, partial payments and late status
- Collection by one-click ACH debit when the bank account is verified and the amount is within policy, otherwise by wire
Distributions
Distributions are computed through the fund's waterfall, split into return of capital, preferred return, income and gain, and reviewed per investor. Withholding is calculated per investor from tax form status, residency and fund rules. Payment goes by ACH credit to a verified account or is recorded against a wire.
Payments with guardrails
Each fund sets limits on debit size, daily volume and when a wire is required. A newly linked bank account has a cooling period before it can be debited or credited. Changing a distribution account requires step-up verification and notifies everyone on the entity.
- A payment authorization for every capital call, with the authorization text hash, timestamp, IP and user agent recorded
- ACH return codes handled by policy: retry with consent, disable the account, or freeze for compliance review
- Wire instructions appear only inside the signed-in portal, never in email
Reconciliation
Bank transactions come in by Plaid or file import and are matched by amount and reference. A call or distribution closes when every item is paid, waived or defaulted and matched to the bank.
