Onboarding

Onboarding that investors finish

A subscription is a guided flow that saves each step, can be resumed on any device and ends in a signed agreement, a verified bank account and a commitment on the books.

The investor flow

Profile, accreditation, entity details, tax forms, bank account and documents, one topic per screen. Steps can be completed in a flexible order, except that documents come last and countersignature comes after acceptance.

  • Accreditation questionnaire versioned per offering, with 506(b) self-certification or 506(c) verification evidence
  • Entity types from individuals and joint accounts to trusts, LLCs, IRAs and funds of funds, with signatories and beneficial owners
  • Substitute W-9 and W-8 forms completed and signed in the flow
  • Bank linking with Plaid and identity checks with a KYC and KYB provider

The manager's review

Fund staff work from a pipeline board with aging, committed versus target and drop-off by step. Each submission has a checklist: identity checks clear, accreditation adequate, documents complete, sanctions screening clear. Accepting a subscription countersigns it, creates the commitment and the capital account, and starts funding.

Changes and exceptions

Staff can request changes with a reason, and the investor returns to the exact step. If the accepted amount differs from the requested amount, an acceptance addendum is generated for signature.
